Robert Loxton launched Helix IT in the spring of 2009 with the objective of presenting world-class technology, people and solutions for the unique technical needs of Canadian organizations. Working closely with associates across Canada, he has built the company to offer a unique blend of technical expertise and business know-how to help clients of any size make the most of technology for their specific purposes.
Robert has a sound technical background with more than 30 years of cabling experience and he holds the BICSI RCDD certification. Robert is a business professional with proven abilities to lead and work with a team of culturally and technically diverse staff and customers to arrive at creative and effective solutions. He combines an understanding of technical requirements with business savvy to guide projects from conceptual stages through to completion.
Robert began his career with Bell Canada, followed by jobs with small telecoms companies while studying at Carleton University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. He worked with Cablecom International in Ottawa and Vancouver, then moved to Bermuda to lead the cabling division of CCS Group. He eventually took over the role of CEO at CCS before moving back to Canada to launch Helix IT.
